Four traffic officers manning the Embu- Meru highway at Kangaru area, vamoosed into a nearby thicket after being caught by the Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission officials collecting bribes from motorists.
According to an eye witness, the traffic officers were on their daily routine of collecting payola from motorists on the road when a Toyota land cruiser (KCJ 892X) stopped at the scene & several men alighted with handcuffs heading towards the traffic officers.
On noticing that an unusual guest had arrived the officers took off running for their dear lives prompting the anti-corruption officers to chase them.
