Drama As MCAs Fume Over ‘Ban’ On Politics During County Assemblies Games In Nakuru

Members of the County Assembly from various regions stormed the Nakuru ASK showground podium before the fourth edition of the County Assembly Sports Association (CASA) games began.

This came after CASA chairperson Jateso Peter Imwatok requested that members refrain from bringing up political issues during the event.

Previously, MCAs had brought up a discussion about their delayed salaries while addressing the crowd during their speeches, which the chair described as politicising the event.

His comments enraged MCAs attending the games, prompting them to storm the pitch where Sports CS Ababu Namwamba was supposed to officiate the event.

The enraged ward representatives stormed the podium and began throwing bottles of water at the chairperson, Jateso Peter, accusing him of speaking against their interests.
