ODM Presidential Aspirant Jimi Wanjigi has obtained a stop order to counter an arrest warrant over an alleged land fraud.
The stop order issued by Judge Anthony Mrima ordered the DCI, and the Inspector General of Police not to arrest the politician until a petition is heard and determined.
In the earlier warrant, Mr. Wanjigi was ordered to appear in court to face 5 counts of land fraud
Jimi Wanjigi is allegedly holed up in a bunker within his Kwacha offices.
His supporters were earlier in the day teargassed as they demanded the police to stop harassing him.
In an interview with the media, Mr. Wanjigi stated that he was intimidated because of his political views.
ODM party is yet to comment on his ordeal.
