Dimaria To Miss Inter-Juve Clash

Angel Di Maria has received a two-match ban for violent conduct, so will not be available when Juventus take on Milan, while Roma coach Jose Mourinho is suspended against his old club Inter.

The Lega Serie A Disciplinary Commission announced its decisions following the Week 7 fixtures.

Di Maria was shown a straight red card for violent conduct, lashing out an elbow into the ribs of Monza defender Armando Izzo during a 1-0 defeat.

As expected, this warranted more than a simple one-game suspension, so the two-match ban means he will miss both Juventus matches against Bologna and Milan.

Elsewhere, Roma coach Mourinho is given a one-match touchline ban for dissent, so will be suspended for the trip to his old club Inter and will be in the stands at San Siro.

Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic is also suspended for that game after accumulating five yellow cards.

Lazio coach Maurizio Sarri has a one-match ban from the touchline for repeat bookings and Fiorentina member of staff Filippo Nannelli is suspended for insulting the referee.

Milan are fined €15,000 for their fans making ‘territorial discrimination’ chants towards Napoli, while Cremonese, Inter and Udinese receive smaller fines for throwing items onto the pitch.
