EACC Okays Proposal To Have Anti-Corruption Anthem

EACC chair said that as indicated by His Grace Archbishop (Rtd) Eliud Wabukala yesterday, Kenyans must, as a country, re-engineer the Country’s value system. As this is essential in the quest for an ethical Kenya.

According to the anti-corruption commission EACC welcomes the proposal by Attorney General Hon. Justin Muturi that the EACC integrity anthem be adopted and sung alongside the National Anthem in all relevant functions.

Such a move, according to the commission, would instill a sense of responsibility in all Kenyans and constantly remind us of the individual obligation of each Kenyan to say no to corruption, the biggest threat to our national prosperity.

EACC chair said that as indicated by His Grace Archbishop (Rtd) Eliud Wabukala yesterday, Kenyans must, as a country, re-engineer the Country’s value system. As this is essential in the quest for an ethical Kenya.

“Promotion of ethics by EACC does not in any way stop anti-corruption enforcement measures. We must acknowledge that the ultimate panacea to corruption and other evils in our society is the repair of our shattered moral fabric.” Said the chair.

He concluded that Law enforcement is just one of the diverse strategies in the fight against corruption.
