EACC Shortlists 14 Candidates for CEO Position

    The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has announced the shortlist of 14 candidates vying for the position of Chief Executive Officer, following a rigorous selection process.

    This announcement comes after EACC posted the vacancy in local newspapers on September 17, 2024, with the application deadline set for October 7, 2024.

    A total of 172 applicants from all 47 counties submitted their applications, showcasing widespread interest in the role.

    The finalists are Stephen Maisha Ngowa (Kitui), Doreen Nkatha Muthaura (Isiolo), Jackson Kaunda Mue (Machakos), Joseph Vincent Onyango (Nairobi), and Paul Ndemo Maina (Kisii).

    Other notable candidates include Victor Omari Okongo (Siaya), Peter Lokol Lomulen (Turkana), and Abdi Mohamed Mohamud (Garissa), among others.

    EACC’s notice indicates that the selected candidates are invited for interviews at the Public Service Commission House, located on Harambee Avenue in Nairobi. Ngowa, Muthaura, Mue, Onyango, and Maina will be interviewed on November 19, 2024, during a session scheduled from 9 am to 3:30 pm.

    The appointment of a new CEO is seen as a critical step in strengthening the Commission’s mandate in fighting corruption in Kenya.
