A 68-year-old man has been found dead in the Namelok area in Kajiado South for what the police say was trampled by an elephant while he was tending his livestock when the elephant suddenly appeared and attacked him before trampling him to death.
The Police Commander in Loitokitok Shadrack Ruto confirmed the incident Friday, saying that the family of this servant was worried when the old man failed to return home from the fields, later a search revealed that he had been killed by being trampled by an elephant.
It is an incident that comes a few days after two other people were killed by elephants in the areas of Kimana and Imbuko in Kajiado county, an action that is increasingly causing concern among residents who have been calling on the wildlife service organization in KWS to find a solution to the problem of wild animals.
