Eliud Owalo, CS Information, Communication, and the Digital Economy, and PS John Kipchumba Tanui this morning commissioned the new ICT Authority board.
The board, headed by Sylvanus Maritim, held their inaugural meeting at the ICTA headquarters in Nairobi.
The CS brought up during the discussion how the agency is directly responsible for this crucial task.
Being the organization in charge of carrying out the government’s ICT agenda, he urged the ICT Authority board to assume its role as ICTA’s watchdog.
The newly appointed Board ought to be in a position to create a strategic plan, an operational manual, and a digital strategy for the purpose of guiding the direction of the government’s ICT agenda.
