Newly released documents from the US House Oversight Committee have placed Elon Musk and Prince Andrew among high-profile figures linked to the late financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
The files, published by Democrats on the committee, include a note from Epstein’s daily schedule referencing Musk as a possible visitor to his private island, Little St James, on 6 December 2014.
The entry read: “Reminder: Elon Musk to island Dec.6 (is this still happening?).” The documents did not confirm whether the visit took place.
Musk has previously attempted to link Donald Trump to Epstein, claiming in June that the former president’s administration was concealing records of their association. He did not provide evidence and later deleted the posts.
Sky News reported it had approached Musk for comment on the new revelations.
Prince Andrew also appears in the files, listed as a passenger on Epstein’s private jet on 12 May 2000.
The flight manifest records him travelling from Teterboro, New Jersey, to Palm Beach, Florida, alongside Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell, and two unidentified passengers. Details of Andrew’s travel on Epstein’s jet have surfaced in court previously during Maxwell’s sex trafficking trial. The duke has consistently denied wrongdoing.

Other prominent names cited in the documents include Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, PayPal founder Peter Thiel and former Trump adviser Steve Bannon. The committee said victims’ names had been redacted and that additional material would be released once further redactions were made.
The release follows fresh controversy surrounding Sarah, Duchess of York, who was dropped by charities earlier this month after an email surfaced in which she apologised to Epstein for disowning him in public.
Epstein died in a New York jail in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges, a death ruled as suicide.
