The suspect, Brian Mutua Muema, was apprehended in the Pipeline area by detectives from Kware Police Station.
According to the National Police Service report, officers acting on a tip from the public trailed the suspect before smoking him out of his hideout in a rented room near Pipeline.
“The officers, acting on the information provided by members of the public, recovered the assortment at a rented room in the Pipeline area.” “However, the suspect was unable to provide a concrete explanation for his possession of the 93 phones,” the NPS stated.
Muema has been arrested and will be arraigned on Monday.
The National Police Service has continued to urge the public to report any suspicious incidents to multi-agency bodies.
