English premier league launched a collective initiative to help generate funds for National health service and distribute them where they are needed most.
Health Secretary Matt Hancock welcomed the the big hearted decision.
The secretary had previously advocated for players to take a pay cut.
Former England captain and match of the Day presenter Gary Lineker lauded the move on his twitter account ,he wrote ” Proud of you players”
” Footballers are doing their bit as I was confident the would do” he wrote.
Players on their social media platforms lauded the move majority with the view of collaborating together to create a voluntary initiative ,separate to any other league and club conversations.
The intention they said was to try and help along with so many others in the country ,to make a “real difference “.
The level of contribution has not been announced but players said they initiative would help ” quickly grant funds to the NHS front line.”
Premier league clubs initially had wanted players to take 30% pay cut.
However PFA denounced the moving saying such could harm NHS,adding that players were “mindful of their social responsibilities”

There are over 7000 deaths from the Covid 19 pandemic in England.
This has lead to a prolonged suspension of the league.
