Two men were arraigned in court today and charged with stealing from a locked motor vehicle parked along Harambee Avenue in Nairobi.
Erick Makori and Silas Imbimbi found themselves on the wrong side of the Law after they were caught on camera breaking into a vehicle and stealing property worth tens of thousands.
According to the charges, the two were caught on CCTV footage on April 20, 2022 in the Bima House parking lot breaking into a parked vehicle and stealing a laptop worth Ksh 50,000.
The accused persons went into hiding after the crime, unaware that the long Criminal Justice System hand was on their trail to bring them to book.
They were later arrested on May 4, 2022 and arraigned in court today.
Appearing before Magistrate Micheni Wendy of Milimani Law courts, the two denied having been involved in the crime and were each released on a bond of Ksh 100,000 with an alternative cash bail of Ksh 60,000.
