Europe-Based University Offers Scholarship To 41 Youth

A European University has offered scholarships to about 41 youth from Malindi to study different courses online.

The youth managed to get the scholarships from the European Business University of Luxembourg through the help of Malindi Member of Parliament Amina Mnyazi who was given 1,000 scholarships to offer to students.

So advantageous is the scholarship that those interested only had to pay Sh 3000 as Commitment fees with the University catering for the rest of the fee costs.

A statement from the University showed that the youth registered and are undertaking different courses in Project Management, Business Management, and Women In leadership among others.

Last Week in a bid to boost the morale of teachers and schools in her constituency the MP organized a prize-giving ceremony for teachers and schools which performed well in KCPE and KCSE.

She said her administration is focused on ensuring the education standards are improved in Malindi so s to also help transform the lives of people.

The MP said she came up with the initiative because education matters are very key in her leadership agenda that’s why she decided to recognize the best-performing teachers.

She said most of the time students spend more time with the teachers even more than with their parents.

“That’s why today we are saying it’s important to appreciate the efforts of our teachers for the work they are doing,” she said.

In December last year, Ms. Mnyazi officially announce a partnership between her constituency and the EBU that is aimed at providing free tertiary (College University ) education to 1,000 Malindi youth.

“The European Business University of Luxembourg shall offer certificates, degrees, and postgraduate degrees. Courses targeted are in the fields of Business leadership, IT, and the English Language,” she said.

The  EBU has over 48 Professors and enrolled over 11,000 students globally with 55 percent coming from Kenya alone including Government officials and elected Members of parliament.

The University has been endorsed by the Ministry of education Kenya and its president is Kenyan.

The legislator urged the students to apply so as to gain meaningful skills that can help them get jobs in companies or even self-employment.

“Women and People with disability are particularly encouraged to apply. Applicants should visit the office of the Mp for registration before December 10,”  she said.

The MP said her office was committed to and dedicated to promoting the education of  Malindi constituency for the benefit of its people.

She said that all interested applicants can apply through https://connect.abulux.lu/ for registration before different dates as per the courses.

The courses available include Business Management, Financial Accounting, Business ethics, Women and Leadership, Macro Economics, Entrepreneurship and Communication, Global Economy, Project Management, and Plutus Haskell.

On the English Language courses, the EBU offers Basic English A2 and intermediate English B1.


The University also has Certificate in Education courses which include contemporary global challenges in education policy and Leadership, Curriculum Design, and instructional Decision making.

The University he said has program section courses among them Advanced Managerial accounting, advanced Financial Accounting, Business Strategy Governance, and Ethics.
