Everton Sign Goalkeeper Mark Travers from Bournemouth for £4 Million

Everton have bolstered their goalkeeping ranks with the signing of Republic of Ireland international Mark Travers from Bournemouth in a deal reportedly worth £4 million ($5.3 million).

The 26-year-old has penned a four-year contract with the Merseyside club, arriving ahead of a milestone season that will see Everton move into their new stadium.

Travers, who made 82 appearances during a nine-year stint at Bournemouth, expressed his enthusiasm about the move. “I’m extremely proud and excited to be an Everton player,” he said. “Coming in, you can feel how big this club is and the history that comes with it. The fanbase, the new stadium, and the direction the club is going in, it’s a really exciting time to be part of this massive football club.”

At Everton, Travers will challenge England international Jordan Pickford for the starting role under manager David Moyes, who is entering his first full season back at the helm.

The signing marks another step in Everton’s efforts to strengthen their squad ahead of the 2025/26 Premier League campaign, as the club looks to turn a new chapter on and off the pitch.
