A middle-aged father in Kibwezi has been arraigned today for sexually molesting his 11-year-old daughter.
According to the DCI, the 38 years old Matuku Katumo was reported to have committed the crime on Sunday, January 30 at around 6.30pm, while going home in the company of his daughter.
“Libidinous father reported to have sexually molested his 11-year-old daughter at a secluded pathway in Kibwezi, Makueni County is being arraigned today,” the DCI tweeted.
The DCI has also raised concerns over the increasing cases of defilement and incest in Makueni County.
“These two incidents makes five the total number of defilement cases reported in Makueni over the past 5 days, and parents and caregivers are thus advised to take note of this alarming trend.” The DCI added.
The class five pupil at a local school earlier reported the matter to the police and explained how her father had restrained her hands along a stretch within Mikuyuni Teachers area before forcing himself into her.
The girl says she fought off her father who then resulted into threatening her with dire consequences if she reported the matter.
The father then instructed the girl to frame a fellow pupil as the culprit of the attack.
The DCI also said that it is Nyumba kumi officials who got wind of the matter and demanded to have the alleged perpetrator questioned while the victim was taken to Kibwezi Sub-county Hospital for examination.
“It was while privately with the medical team that the brave girl exposed her savage dad, who was at the time leading the Nyumba Kumi team to the home of the framed boy,” DCI says.
