Former MCA of Riruta Ward Samuel Ndungu Njoroge is one of three accused who were sentenced to 30 years in prison each by a Kiambu High Court today for murder.
While delivering the sentence, Justice (Prof) Joel Ngugi stated that the accused brutally murdered Lucy Njambi Nyagiko, who was not yet 25 years old.
The judge went on to say that the accused committed an extreme act of domestic violence and femicide in the most brutal and sadistic manner.
The accused were Samuel Ndungu Njoroge, the deceased’s husband and former Riruta Ward MCA, Joyce Njambi Mungai, and Wilson Mwangi Munyua.
The deceased was abducted, raped, and assaulted with sulfuric acid before dying the next day.
