They say politics is a dirty game—ruthless, disrespecting procedure and decency, almost on the borderline of madness.
Kindiki was a foot soldier, almost a disciple of DP William Ruto since the UhuRuto bromance.
Their relationship became public when Uhuru Kenyatta and Ruto first appeared at the Hague, where Kindiki, alongside Khan and others, served on Ruto’s defence team—and delivered results years later.

Elected to the Senate in 2013, Kindiki emerged as a key cog of the Uhuruto presidency. He was among the first Ruto generals chosen to help him consolidate support on Mt. Kenya with eyes fixed on 2022.
When Ruto and Uhuru fell out, or pretended to in 2018, Kindiki became one of the fiercest Tanga Tanga fighters, boldly defending the DP both inside and outside the Senate.
Kindiki seemed the obvious, natural running mate to Ruto. Being from Tharaka Nithi, he was the moderate GEMA man and a front-runner. But GEMA has its owners—the Agikuyu, spread across all 47 counties of Kenya and the globe.

They wield a tyranny of numbers rivalled only by the KAMATUSA (Kalenjin, Maasai, Turkana, and Samburu), with vast wealth accumulated through trade, finance, “tendepreneurship,” and decades of political protection under Jomo Kenyatta, Mwai Kibaki, and Uhuru Kenyatta.
Kindiki realized during a painful 24 hours at Karen that friendship counts for nothing. Gachagua had pumped or burned close to Sh.2 billion. After 20 years of loyalty, he angrily tweeted that he was quitting politics, but later mellowed and rejoined the team.
Was he promised that Gachagua would be impeached? The end justifies the means: now Kindiki is the DP, with Gachagua in Tanga Tanga, refusing to go down silently like Sir Charles Njonjo in 1983.
Indicators show that since stepping back from the Bible, Kindiki has worked tirelessly for Tutam. He leads a highly visible empowerment campaign nationwide, gaining organic votes, particularly in Kitui, where he is idolized.
With relatives in Tseikuru, Kitui North, and fluency in the local dialect shared with Wiper Supremo Dr. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, Kindiki combines a cool demeanor with hidden ruthless grit, especially from his tenure as CS Internal Security.
Kindiki will fight to the last man for Tutam. With Uhuru Kenyatta’s continued backing, he may well retain his position beyond 2027.
