In new appointments made by President William Ruto on Friday, October 14, Felix Koskei is the new Chief of Staff and Head of Public Service.
In a press statement, outgoing Head of Public Service Joseph Kinyua announced the changes.
Former Turkana Governor Josphat Nanok, who was the Director-General of William Ruto’s presidential campaigns, will deputize Koskei in his place.
Koskei served as Agriculture CS from April 2013 to March 2015, when he was suspended on corruption charges.
Koskei is a logistics guru and a close ally of President William Ruto
He will replace Joseph Kinyua as Independence Kenya’s most powerful public officer.
A firm and fair technocrat, Koskei is a former General Manager at Kenya National Highways Authority(KeNHA) worked with Telkom Kenya during its privatisation and the Kenya Anti Corruption Authority(KACC).
Also appointed is Hussein Mohammed as the State House spokesperson, David Mugonyi as the Head of the Strategic Communications division at the presidency.
