FFA President Noel le Graet Pressured To Resign

The head of the organization’s ethics committee has asked Noel le Graet, the president of the French Football Federation, to resign because of his remarks concerning Zinedine Zidane.

Le Graet received flak for declaring he wouldn’t accept Zidane’s call about the position of national team manager.

Later, he expressed regret for the remarks, calling them “clumsy.”

Le Graet, 81, should resign down, according to Patrick Anton, the chairman of the FFF’s ethical commission.

Anton stated to L’Equipe: “Le Graet’s remarks indicate that he has somewhat lost his mental clarity. He is a man who needs to move on and is worn out.”

As a player, Zidane won the 1998 World Cup, and during his time as Real Madrid’s coach, he won other trophies.
