The rally, dubbed “Wabiro Kisumu,” is expected to attract thousands of ODM supporters and leaders from Kisumu, Homa Bay, Migori, Siaya and Kisii counties.

Migori Governor Ochilo Ayacko, who chairs the organising committee, said elaborate arrangements have been put in place to ensure the smooth movement of supporters and orderly conduct throughout the event.

According to Ayacko, supporters travelling from different regions will assemble at designated points before proceeding to Keremba Grounds.

Those coming from across River Nyando and neighbouring areas will gather at Katito, supporters from Kisumu City and surrounding areas will assemble at Kondele, while those travelling from Siaya County and western parts of the region will meet at Ojolla before converging at the main venue.

“All roads will lead to Kiremba Grounds, where supporters are expected to arrive by midday for the main event,” Ayacko said.

He assured residents that the rally would be peaceful and well organised, noting that organisers are working closely with security agencies and local leaders to ensure safety and the smooth flow of activities.

“We want this to be a peaceful, productive and celebratory rally that demonstrates the strength and unity of ODM,” he said.

The governor noted that security arrangements have already been discussed with relevant authorities to manage crowds, traffic and the movement of leaders expected to attend the event.

National ODM leaders, Members of Parliament, governors, Members of County Assembly and party officials are expected to attend the rally in large numbers.

Ayacko said the gathering will not only celebrate ODM’s political journey but also reaffirm the party’s unity and readiness ahead of the 2027 General Election.

Organisers have urged supporters to maintain peace, follow directions from security officers and refrain from any actions that may disrupt the event.

The rally comes at a time when ODM leaders are intensifying grassroots mobilisation across the Nyanza region while calling for unity among party members and continued engagement with like-minded political formations.

Preparations are ongoing for the ODM rally scheduled for May 31 at Keremba Grounds in Kisumu, with organisers assuring supporters of adequate security, proper coordination and peaceful proceedings during the political gathering.
