Police in Kirinyaga are looking for a 17-year-old Form Three student accused of stabbing his cousin to death following a domestic dispute in the Kagio area.
Polid 12 died from injuries a few minutes after the fatal attack.
County police commander Andrew Naibei stated that the assailant fled shortly after committing the crime on Friday evening.
According to relatives, the deceased was at home doing her homework when she was fatally attacked.
The Grade Seven student was rushed to a private hospital in Kagio town, where she was declared dead upon arrival.
The girl’s body has been taken to Kibugi Funeral Home in Kutus town for postmortem examination.
