Arror and Kimwarer Graft case against Former CS Henry Rotich has been rescheduled for June 13 and 14, this year after his counsel, , Kioko Kilukumi called in sick.

The matter was slated for another hearing before magistrate Lawrence Mugambi on Thursday.

Henry Rotich, the former Cabinet Secretary (CS) National Treasury, is accused of misappropriating public monies in connection with the development of the Arror and Kimwarer Multipurpose Development Dam Projects.

The former CS and four others have been charged jointly with a variety of offenses including conspiracy to defraud, abuse of office, and failure to comply with various sections of the law while carrying out contracts requiring the Kenyan government to pay approximately Ksh.63 billion for the construction of the two dams.

The former CS objected to the plea being taken on two counts, according to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), when the matter came up for plea on the increased charges on May 26, 2021.

The two offenses, according to Rotich, did not define what specifically he had to react to under the Anti-Corruption and Economic Crimes Act and the Public Finance Management Act.
