Former Kenya Lionesses head coach and Nakuru Rugby Football Club player Felix Oloo has died after being involved in a grisly road accident in the United States.Oloo was struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross Interstate 405 in Bothell, Washington, in an early Monday morning incident that remains under investigation.According to Nakuru Rugby Football Club, Oloo died following the tragic accident.
“It is with deep sorrow that the Nakuru Rugby fraternity announces the sudden passing of Felix Ade Oloo on 4th May 2026 following a tragic road accident,” Nakuru RFC announced.Oloo was crucial in rugby development in Nakuru and also went on to coach Kenya Lionesses.”Felix was a dedicated servant of the game, a coach, mentor, and leader whose contribution to Nakuru Rugby and the wider rugby community was immense.
“His passion for the sport, commitment to developing players, and unwavering spirit inspired many both on and off the pitch,” Nakuru RFC added.“As a club and family, we stand together in mourning and in support of his loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.”Rest easy, Coach. Your legacy lives on in every player and every life you touched. Funeral and memorial details will be communicated in due course,” the club concluded.Oloo played for Nakuru RFC between 2003 to 2017 and was part of the squads that won the Kenya Cup in 2013 and 2014.He also coached Kenya Lionesses to achieve an Olympic Qualification in 2020.
