Former Kesses MP Swarup Mishra Mourns Victims of Utumishi Academy Girls Fire Tragedy

Former Kesses Member of Parliament Dr. Swarup Mishra has joined Kenyans in mourning the victims of the deadly fire at Utumishi Academy Girls, sending condolences to affected families, students, teachers and the school community.

In a message of sympathy, Dr. Mishra described the tragedy as heartbreaking and expressed solidarity with families grieving the loss of their loved ones while wishing a speedy recovery to those injured.

“Our hearts are heavy as we stand with the entire Utumishi family during this moment of grief,” said Dr. Mishra. “We mourn the loss of our dear girls and pray for healing for the injured, strength for the families, and comfort for all those affected.”

He further conveyed his sympathies to parents, relatives, staff and learners affected by the tragedy, saying the institution and the wider community stood together in mourning.

“May their souls rest in eternal peace,” he added.

The former legislator also reiterated a message of unity and support for bereaved families, stating that the pain of the tragedy was shared collectively.

The fire incident has drawn condolences from leaders, education stakeholders and members of the public across the country, with many calling for support for affected families and those recovering from injuries.
