Immediate former Kesses Member of Parliament Dr. Swarup Mishra’s woes have thickened after auctioneers scheduled a date for the sale of his various properties situated in Uasin Gishu County.
This comes just two months after services at his Mediheal hospital in Eldoret were suspended due to financial constraints.
Jomuki Auctioneers has scheduled various parcels of land, including his palatial Elgon View residence, for auction on Tuesday in Eldoret.
Mediheal Group Limited (Swarup Ranjan Mishra and Pallavi Jodhpur Rajsthan) owns 0.9 hectares of land in Blossom, Kiambaa, in Kesses division, 10 acres in Ngeria centre, 4 acres and another 10 acres parcels of land in Chepkigen, 1.07 acres in Elgon view, Greenvale area, and another 1.086 acres in the same location.
During the visit by the Parliamentary Committee on Health to the Mediheal facility, the management attributed the facility’s failure to the government’s withdrawal of medical coverage and the State’s non-payment of NHIF funds to the hospital for no apparent reason.
