Son to the late Joseph Nyaga, a former Cabinet Minister, has entered the contest to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Jeremiah John Mwaniki Nyaga, 44, has announced that he will run for president as an independent candidate promising to finish what his father had started.
“I will honor my late father and finish his work. We are in March 2022, and I have not seen anyone who wants to stand up and finish the work my father started.”
He stated that his primary goal would be to combat corruption, claiming that he has never worked for the government or been involved in any corrupt transactions.
He also said that Mt. Kenya leaders were perplexed and should cease honoring other leaders, as they were betraying their own.
Mwaniki, speaking in Kutus, Kirinyaga County, said he intended to run as an independent candidate to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta.
The 44-year-old advertising maestro went on to say that he wants to run for the highest office in the land in order to carry out his late father’s objective.
He claimed that the late former minister had fully prepared to run for president this year.
He stated that he will build a third force that will represent a big number of Kenyans who are unsure who to vote for.
