Former MPs’ Prime Properties Set for Auction

Two prime properties owned by former National Assembly lawmakers are set to go under the hammer in public auctions overseen by different auctioneers.

The first property, located in Karen, Nairobi County, belongs to former Yatta MP Charles Mutavi Kilonzo.

Situated in Northwood Villas along Miotoni Lane, approximately 500 meters west of West Nairobi School, the property features a five-bedroom all-ensuite townhouse with integrated domestic servants’ quarters.

Held under a freehold title, the 0.5-acre plot is connected to essential utilities like water and electricity.

According to Norern Auctioneers, the Karen property will be auctioned on January 23, 2025, at Queens Way, Nairobi.

The second property, owned by former Taita Taveta Women Representative Naomi Namsi Shaban, is a four-storey residential block near Daystar University in Machakos County.

The 0.907-acre plot, identified as Alliance Apartments, is located off Daystar University Access Road, opposite Daystar University and near Lukenya Girls High School.

The building comprises multiple three-bedroom (master ensuite) units, spanning a total built area of 34,950 square feet.

The property, held under a 949-year lease since 1962, will be auctioned at Western Heights, Westlands, in January 2025.

Both auctions mark a rare sale of high-profile properties linked to former legislators.
