Former Presidential Aspirant Reuben Kigame faults Easy Coach after narrowly escaping accident in Vihiga County

Former Presidential aspirant Reuben Kigame has called out Easy Coach company after escaping a near-death accident on Sunday morning along the Kapsabet-Chavakali road in Vihiga County.

According to Kigame, an Easy Coach bus attempted to overtake another car while speeding, at around 5:00 am, forcing his driver to swerve off the road to avoid a head-on collision.

He blamed Easy Coach for allowing a rogue driver to operate their bus, further blaming Vihiga County and all roads authorities among them the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) for allowing the section of the busy road to exist in a deplorable state.

“Easy Coach you wanted to kill us this morning. You come with full lights aiming at us and you drive us into the ditch. Shame on you as a company, shame on your drivers, Vihiga county, the Kenya Highways Authortiy and the NTSA. If it was not God I would be dead meat together with my friends here,” he said on his X account.

“The contractor, county and highways authority are responsible for the condition of the road at Shiru where the incident occurred. Praise be to God who has spared our lives and many thanks to Mr Manasseh Kijo and his young men that helped us out of that ditch.”

Kigame said that he was travelling to speak at the University of Eldoret.
