On Friday, May 12, the Kiambu High Court ruled that a former Riruta Ward Member of County Assembly (MCA) and two others had a case to answer for the death of the MCA’s ex-wife.
The prosecution had proven that the suspects were involved in the murder, according to the judge.
In January 2018, the mother of one was discovered dumped in Kamiti and was rushed to Kenyatta National Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
According to reports, she was assaulted and her body was doused in acid before being disposed of.
“The prosecution relied on evidence which it claims connects the accused person to the murder,” the judge ruled.
