First ever Mumias East Member of Parliament Mark Barasa is dead.
The late legislator was found killed in cold blood after going missing from his house in Tongaren two weeks ago.
The body was discovered with missing body parts such as the eyes, mouth, and left hands, and the body had been thrown in acid.
Mr.Mark Barasa was a Member of Parliament from 1963 until 1969.
The former Bungoma East Constituency has since been divided into four constituencies: Webuye East, Webuye West, Tongaren, and Kimilili.
The family praised Mark for bringing growth to the area during his time as a member of parliament, including Webuye pan papers, Lugulu females Chesamisi boys, and Friends School Kamusinga.
The deceased’s body has been taken to Cherengany Nursing Home.
Family members are now pleading with the authorities to expedite the investigations and bring the criminals to justice.
