Former WWE Star ‘Sir Mo’ Dies After Health Complications

Bobby Horne, the larger-than-life wrestler best known to WWE fans as Sir Mo of Men on a Mission, has died aged 58.

The news was confirmed in a statement by Steve Stasiak of Book Pro Wrestlers, who described Horne as “a kind, humble, and deeply devoted man” whose presence lit up every room he entered.

Horne’s death follows a period of serious health complications, according to reports. His passing marks the end of a remarkable career that began in the early 1990s and left a lasting imprint on the wrestling world.

Born in 1967, Horne broke into professional wrestling in 1991 and joined WWE (then WWF) two years later, forming the dynamic tag team Men on a Mission alongside Mabel.

Known for their bright purple and gold outfits, energetic rap entrances, and undeniable charisma, the duo captured the WWE World Tag Team Championship, becoming fan favourites in an era defined by colourful characters and larger-than-life personas.

Stasiak recalled that the team’s “blend of positivity, showmanship, and unity brought a fresh burst of life to WWF programming, a team that fans couldn’t help but smile and cheer for every time their music hit.”

After leaving WWE in 1996, Horne continued to wrestle on the independent circuit, performing with promotions such as the United States Wrestling Association, Memphis Pro Wrestling, and Power Pro Wrestling until as recently as 2020.

Tributes have poured in from across the wrestling community. Former WWE Women’s Champion Leilani Kai wrote, “Rest in peace, my friend. Thank you for every laugh, every kind word, and every night we shared on the road. You’ll be missed by all of us who knew you.”
