Four persons were killed on Wednesday in Andaki, Wajir County, after their vehicle collided with a bomb that had been placed on the road.
The four were on a land cruiser and were reported to be carrying food when the vehicle collided with an improvised explosive device (IED).
The incident occurred at 11 a.m. near Erga, along the Wajir-Gerile Road in Wajir South, not far from the porous Kenya-Somalia border, according to police.
Al-Shabaab terrorists operating in the vicinity are suspected of planting the bomb.
The event occurs three days after a similar occurrence along the Arabia-Mandera Highway killed at least ten passengers and injured many more.
