Four Parties Join Ruto In Kenya Kwanza

Four political parties have joined the Kenya Kwanza Alliance, according to the Registrar of Political Parties.

The parties include; Grand Dream Development Party (GDDP), Chama Cha Mashinani (CCM), Democratic Party of Kenya (DP), and National Agenda Party of Kenya (NAP-K).

In a notice issued on Friday, RPP Ann Nderitu stated that the parties had formed a post-election coalition with the alliance led by President William Ruto.

“The listed political parties entered into a post-election coalition with Kenya Kwanza Alliance and are confirmed to be in accordance with the Act and the party Constitution and rules,” reads the notice.

The latest signatory to the Kenya Kwanza coalition agreement is Chama Cha Mashinani leader Isaac Rutto.

CCM was one of the parties that did not sign the coalition agreement with the other 12 political outfits that officially joined the ruling coalition in April.

Other parties in the Kenya Kwanza Alliance besides Ruto’s UDA are Musalia Mudavadi’s Amani National Congress (ANC), National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula’s Forum for Restoration of Democracy-Kenya (Ford Kenya), and Moses Kuria’s Chama Cha Kazi.

Other parties include the Communist Party of Kenya, Mwangi Kiunjuri’s Service Party, the Tujibebe Wakenya Party of former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo, the Farmers Party of former PS Irungu Nyakera, the Devolution Party of Kenya, Isaac Abey’s Economic Freedom Party (EFP), and the Umoja na Maendeleo Party.

The alliance also includes the Democratic Party of Kenya, led by former National Speaker Justin Muturi, the National Agenda Party of Kenya, the Grand Dream Development Party, and Senator Ali Roba’s United Democratic Movement.
