In a decisive ruling, Senior Resident Magistrate Hon. E. Mulochi sentenced four men to fifteen years in prison each for gang rape.
The convicts, identified as Bernard Kiprop, Jackson Cheruiyot, Kurgat Chebotibin, and Benson Cheruiyot, were found guilty under Section 10 of the Sexual Offences Act, 2006.
The charges stemmed from an incident that occurred on September 24, 2023, at approximately 7 PM in Sirwet Sub-location, Baringo South Sub-County.
The court found that the prosecution presented compelling evidence that proved the accused’s guilt beyond a reasonable doubt, meeting the legal requirements for conviction.
