The Central Organization of Trade Unions Kenya (COTU) Secretary General Francis Atwoli has sent a passionate appeal to America’s President-elect Donald Trump.
In a statement on Thursday, November 7, Atwoli pleaded with Trump to bring much-needed sanity, adding that he is concerned about the rise of ungodly leaders.
According to Atwoli, ungodly leaders have brought with them ungodly public policies, which have gone beyond their borders and affected other nations. transcend their borders, on the very platform.
“As Kenyan workers, it remains our hope and trust that President Trump will usher in the much-needed sanity consideration of the rise of ungodly leaders with ungodly public policies, which transcend their borders, on the very platform,” stated Atwoli.
At the same time, he congratulated the president-elect for his win, adding that the same sentiments were shared by Kenyan workers.
“Indeed, we thank God for saving and protecting Trump to lead America at such a critical time.
“The news of the election of President Donald Trump was received warmly and with a lot of excitement by Kenyan workers considering the strong relationship between Kenya and the United States,” added Atwoli.
Further, he has hailed Trump as a strong leader who is God-fearing and can take decisive action on numerous issues on the global stage.
“As such, the election of President Trump is not only a win for stability on the global stage but also a fresh air of sanity and action-oriented leadership.
“Kenyan workers are a people from a God-fearing nation and thus we will always stand with President Donald J. Trump,” he stated further.
Moreover, the COTU SG has asked the incoming US President to enhance the welfare and interests of the American Workers whose votes contributed to his victory, through the American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO).
