Former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiangi will not appear at the DCI offices today.
According to his lawyer Danstan Omari, there was no proper summons to compel the former CS to appear at the detectives’ headquarters.
Matiangi returned to the country on Saturday following a two-week private visit of Europe, and he is anticipated to appear at DCI offices.
Matiangi is also on the EACC’s radar for his riches from 2013 to 2022, after the anti-graft body wrote to the head of public service about it.
His lawyer stated that his client was unaware of any investigations being conducted against him, but he appreciates any action taken by cops.
