DPP has withdrawn intended charges against Jimmy Wanjigi, his wife and five others .
This is after the prosecution told the court they will be witnesses in another case where 11 people have been charged in connection to the land in dispute.
“Your honor, upon perusing the file, the ODPP has found that the accused persons herein ought to be the complainants and witnesses in the same case they are charged with. It is our view that the charges against them should be withdrawn.” Said the public prosecutor.

The charges in the intended charge sheet were conspiracy to commit a felony, forgery of a title deed for a piece of land in Westlands and uttering a false document.
Wanjigi however, never answered to the charges .
This is after he moved to the high court and obtained orders stopping his prosecution.
“The court has considered the application by the prosecution for withdrawal of this case,it has been submitted that upon review of the evidence the DPP has decided to charge 11 other accused persons in a different file and drop the charges against the persons herein, I will therefore allow the application,” said magistrate Bernard Ochoi.
