Gachagua Arrives in Baltimore to Rally Kenyan Diaspora Support

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has arrived in Baltimore as part of his ongoing tour of the United States aimed at strengthening ties with the Kenyan diaspora and garnering support ahead of the 2027 General Elections.

Touching down on Thursday night alongside his spouse, Pastor Dorcas Rigathi, Gachagua was warmly received by members of the Kenyan community. The visit marks the latest stop in his “Engage the Diaspora” campaign, which has already taken him to several U.S. cities, including Seattle and Boston, where he officially launched overseas offices for his newly formed Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP).

“It is truly fulfilling to witness the indefatigable spirit of Kenyans across the world. Our resilience, warmth, and vibrant culture continue to inspire,” Gachagua said in a statement. “I am thrilled to have landed in Baltimore, Maryland, as part of my ongoing tour.”

During his stay in Baltimore, Gachagua is scheduled to hold multiple engagements with Kenyans working in various sectors, from business and academia to healthcare and technology. The meetings aim to tap into the diaspora’s potential in shaping Kenya’s political and economic future.

Gachagua began his U.S. tour on July 10 and is expected to continue visiting more cities as he builds momentum for his 2027 presidential ambitions.
