Gachagua: Our Win Is An Act of God

According to Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, Kenya Kwanza’s presidential victory in last month’s elections was the greatest miracle of God.

Speaking during the thanksgiving service at State House on Sunday, he said their victory was God-allowed and given.

“The ascendance of William Ruto as President and I as his deputy is one of the great miracles of the almighty God,” he said.

Gachagua used the opportunity to thank the church for its prayers, emphasizing that the presidential path had not been simple, but God had made it possible.

“We say thank you for your prayers for where we have reached. The journey towards this leadership was a difficult one. The boarders and rocks put on that path could not be lifted by an ordinary human being. It was the hand of God,” he added.

Gachagua lauded the President for fulfilling his promise to host the inaugural Thanksgiving service at the State House Gardens.

‘When we met these anointed men and women of God. You ( Ruto)  promised them that when God answers our prayers and we ascend to power, the first opportunity and the first thanksgiving service will be held at State house gardens and here we are,” he said.

The DP also praised his boss for his dedication to the church and for making it possible for the service to take place.

He claimed that he and other Kenya Kwanza leaders met Ruto at JKIA at 6 a.m. today, where he was determined to attend the service despite the long journey.

“I want to also thank your commitment to this service. You ( Ruto)  left abroad at late hours of the night and came to welcome you at the airport at 6 am because u were determined and said you didn’t want to be late for this service,” Gachagua said.
