Aubermeyang Nets Winner To Put Barca Into The Europa QF

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored his seventh goal in as many games to help Barcelona defeat Galatasaray.

After Galatasaray had taken the lead, the ex-Arsenal star struck the winner to cap an incredible comeback.

After the first leg ended in a 0-0 draw, Brazilian defender Marcao gave the hosts the lead before Pedri equalized with a magnificent solo strike.

Barca advanced to the quarter-finals with a goal from Aubameyang in the 49th minute.

The home fans became enraged and began hurling bottles and plastic cups onto the field, prompting the referee to suspend the game for a few minutes as the Galatasaray players attempted to settle things down.

After four years at Arsenal, Aubameyang, 32, joined Barcelona on a free transfer in February and has shown to be an excellent addition.

After finishing third in the Champions League group stage behind Bayern Munich and Benfica, Xavi’s squad was relegated to the Europa League.
