A suspected thug killed a fellow thug in a botched robbery attempt at an engineering company, in Mukuru kwa Reuben, Nairobi.
The thugs armed with crude weapons had gained access to David Engineering Company in kwa Reuben slum and encountered the firm’s guard after they scaled the firm’s perimeter wall.
A struggle between the three ensued before one of the thugs attempted to stab the guard using a knife but missed and the knife went straight to one of his accomplice’s eyes, killing him on the spot.
The assailant immediately dropped his killer weapon and fled the scene.
Police officers have mounted a search operation for the other gangster.
The body was moved to a city mortuary.
