Four police officers are feared dead after their vehicle ran over an improvised explosive device (IED) in Garissa County.
According to Dadaab Deputy County Commissioner Kipkirui Siele, the incident took place on Dadaab-Garissa road.
This is one of many incidents in the region, with the terror group Al-Shabaab being the usual suspect.
Last month, Kenya National Highways Authority engineers were targeted by suspected Al-Shabaab militants who planted an IED on the LAPSSET road.
Four people in the convoy were killed in the explosion.
Similarly, in December 2022, a Kenya Defence Forces soldier was killed and four others were injured when their vehicle struck an IED planted by militants in Lamu County.
