The Garissa University terrorists will know their final verdict tomorrow before Milimani High Court in Nairobi.
The three attackers who were convicted by the then Milimani Chief Magistrate, Hon. Francis Andayi, appealed their convictions to the High Court.
They complained that the sentence by the lower court was so severe.
Hassan Edin Hassan, Mohammed Abdi Abikar, and Rashid Mberesero (Deceased) were sentenced to 41 years in jail on June 9, 2022 for their roles in the attack that killed 148 people, the bulk of whom were students.
Rashid Mberesero, one of the convicts committed suicide while serving his sentence at Kamiti Maximum prison.
During the appeal hearing in July 2022, the DPP asked the High Court to affirm their conviction and sentence, arguing that it was reasonable in light of their horrific actions.
