On Friday, GEMA elders will troop to Agikuyu Shrine Mukurwe wa Nyagathanga to cleanse it.
Following the coronation of National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi as Mt. Kenya Spokesperson, a group of Mt. Kenya elders arranged the ceremony.
The elders opposed to Speaker Justine Muturi’s coronation said the shrine is a holy location, and the event would be held in Mumbi grounds in Murang’a town.
Following the prayers, 30 Agikuyu high priests will travel to Mukurwe wa Nyagathanga Shrine to perform the cleaning process.
The elders told the media that it was utilized for political purposes and that abuses were exchanged thereby mudding the sanctity of the sacred area.
