Gladys Chania To Undergo Mental Check At Mathare

The Director of Public Prosecutions has confirmed that Kiambu politician Gladys Chania will be charged with the murder of Gatundu North businessman George Mwangi.

Gladys Chania, a Kiambu politician, will undergo a mental checkup ahead of her arraignment in court.

Chania was arraigned this morning before Residents Magistrate Wilson Radin’g, where Director of Prosection Officer Mr Kelwon informed the court that the accused would be subjected to a psychiatrist test at Mathare Mental Hospital on Tuesday.

The Director of Public Prosecutions has confirmed that Kiambu politician Gladys Chania will be charged with the murder of Gatundu North businessman George Mwangi.

Mwangi was believed to have died in his home, according to authorities.

His body was wrapped in a polythene bag and taken to Kieni Forest in Kiambu County, where it was thrown.

Maurice Mbugua, a helper at Mwangi’s homestead, is also expected to face murder charges in connection with his death.

Gladys Chania, Mwangi’s sweetheart of 20 years, was now identified as the primary suspect in the businessman’s murder by police.

He was laid to rest at the Mang’u home in the absence of his wife.

Ms. Chania penned a hearty tribute to George, indicating how she was hurt over his death.
