The government has declared Tuesday, December 27 and Monday, January 2, public holidays.
According to Interior CS Kithure Kindiki, the two days will be observed as public holidays giving Kenyans a four-day Christmas weekend.
Christmas, December 25, falls on a Sunday, and Boxing Day, December 26, falls on a Monday.
Just like Christmas, January 1, 2023, will fall on a Sunday, occasioning its rescheduling to Monday, January 2, 2023.
