The High Court of Kenya, sitting in Nairobi, has given the Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) two more weeks to submit a report on the cancellation of the JKIA-Adani deal.
The advocate representing the Attorney General informed the court that the process of canceling the controversial multimillion-dollar airport expansion deal with the Adani group is still underway.
However, the Attorney General’s office stated that the process might take longer than initially anticipated.
Advocate Ochieng Oduor told Justice Chacha Mwita that the Public Private Partnership (PPP) committee had already been given the go-ahead for the cancellation.
According to Advocate Oduor, the cancellation is subject to approval by Attorney General Dorcas Oduor.
He requested the court grant them an additional two weeks, noting that several processes involving the Kenya Airports Authority and other parties are still required before the matter can be concluded.
