Kisii Governor Simba Arati has declared he carries the ODM DNA, drilled into him by Raila Odinga. Speaking in Kakamega County during the ODM Linda ground tours, Arati named CS Hassan Joho, Wycliffe Oparanya as leaders carrying the ODM blood.
“Baba declared at Kasarani that me and Oparanya and Joho are the cornerstone of ODM. It shall remain so”, Arati said. ODM is currently in a aelf preservation drive following the death of Raila.
Already, the Secretary General Edwin Sifuna has stayed away from the county tours called to drum support for Oburu.
Four Governors: Kakamega’s Francis Barasa, Gladys Wanga of Homabsy, Achilo Ayako, Kenneth Lusaka of Bungoma, Paul Otuoma and Ahmed Jiir. ODM ambitious plan to retain it’s political bedroom after the death of Raila Odinga commenced with a tally at Kibera in Nairobi.
They then visited Busia, one of Raila Odinga’s strong holds. Kakamega Governor Ferdinard Barasa said Jakamega was fully behind ODM-UDA talks led by Oburu Odinga.
He demanded that Kakamega County must seat on the negotiating table as the ODM political bedroom and ODM zone. Barasa activated party secretary General Sifuna for diving the party from within. Barasa demanded that the ODM Deputy Party leader should be reserved fof Kakamega.
“We fully support the broad based government which was bequerhed to us by Baba”, he said. Barasa said he was the bonafide chair of Kakamega County and said he will deliver the broad based agenda.
“I have the mandate of the people and the top ODM organs. I will ensure ODM retains its position as the dominant party in Kakamega”, he said.
