Governor Kingi Calls Out ‘Shady’ Azimio Pact

In a bid to consolidate votes for Deputy President William Ruto at the Coast, Governor Amason Kingi has intensified campaigns in the coastal region.

The Governor has been Kingi meeting groups of 1,000 grassroots opinion and influential leaders in each of Kilifi’s 35 wards, said Ruto is the only presidential candidate who has agreed to sign a pre-election pact with the coastal region.

Therefore, the coast region can only be safe under the Kenya Kwanza Alliance government.

Currently, the Governor is in the second constituency of Malindi after completing Magarini where he is holding a series of similar meetings with grassroots opinion leaders.

This time he categorically told the residents to question Azimio la Umoja coalition leaders if they come to show them the coalition agreement they have with the coast region.

he displayed in public the Coalition agreement in which his Pamoja African Alliance Party PAA signed with Kenya Kwanza together with other partners a symbol of commitment to have problems of the Coast addressed.

“I do not want you to say that governor lied to us this is the coalition agreement that PAA party signed with Kenya Kwanza on behalf of Coast,” he said.

Kingi said the agreement was signed by many people but the first to sign was Ruto and asked the leaders to question the ODM leader Raila Odinga about the agreement he had.

He said those who signed on behalf of PAA in the coalition agreement are Ibrahim Babangida the chairman and secretary-general Bennedict Furaha.

“This is an agreement that has been taken to the registrar of a political party it is now law, the others if they come let them show you the agreement they signed with the people of Coast,” he said.

The Governor said the Coast region is tired of false promises and stories that do not benefit the people.

However with a Ruto president, he said Coast is assured of getting back their land, and the economy revived.

For those reasons, he said he bid Raila goodbye and decided to die with his people in the Kenya Kwanza coalition which has a future.

The PAA Party leader also rallied for a five-piece vote from MCAs to governor and Ruto vote for the presidency.

He was accompanied by PAA Party spokesman Lucas Maitha, Former Malindi MP Willy Mtengo who is also eying for the seat, Nominated senator Christine Zawadi, and Senatorial candidate Ben Kai among others.

Maitha said Coast has suffered because of its loyalty and trust to other parties adding that there is a new dawn and Coast would not support any presidential candidate who did not sign a coalition agreement with the region.

he said normally the top political leaders used to divide and rule to achieve their ambitions and then abandon the region leaving locals to languish in poverty without jobs despite the rich resources that are available.

“The problem of the Coastal person is that we love other people more than ourselves,” he said.

Maitha said all problems for them to come to an end the region must change its style of voting.

“The first thing you must not support a party that is from outside the region, the vote that will go outside the region is one, and its because PAA has no presidential candidate and signed an agreement with Ruto that’s why we shall vote for him as a president,” he said.

Apart from the president, he said the others should vote for PAA from MCA, MP, Woman Rep, Senator, and Governor.

Zawadi on his part said PAA came and it’s time to fill it so as to go and rip from the national government.

She said Coast has now woken up and will vote for their own in the region and through the PAA party.

“If we give you a presidential vote what will you give us the era for just stories is gone we need to give and take,” he said.
