Governor Mwangaza’s Message Ahead of Her Impeachment Inquiry

The Governor appeared to suggest that God would vindicate her while quoting the book of Luke.

Meru Governor Bishop Kawira Mwangaza is confident that God will see her through the Senate impeachment proceedings, which began today.

The Governor has taken to Facebook to share a biblical message that ostensibly refers to her case, which the Senate will be investigating in the coming days.

The Governor appeared to suggest that God would vindicate her while quoting the book of Luke.

“Luke 12:11-12[11] “And when you are brought to trial in synagogues and before rulers and authorities, don’t be concerned about how to defend yourself or what to say,[12] because the Holy Spirit will teach you what needs to be said at that time.” “She shared.

The Senate committee investigating the grounds for the impeachment of Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza convened today at 10 a.m.
The 11-member committee will decide whether the allegations leveled against the governor are serious enough to warrant her removal.

The committee has until December 30 to deliver its findings and determination under the law.

The decision of the committee will automatically determine Kawira’s political mileage.

Kawira became the first county executive to be impeached just three months after assuming office.

During the impeachment session, all 67 members of the County Assembly (MCAs) present voted to remove her over allegations of abuse of office.
